How To Root Galaxy Grand Download Root.rar, which is having all necessary softwares/files for rooting except USB driver/Kies STEP 1:- Download firmware from www.sammobile.com Install the firmware thru ODIN.. Install Kies (Search in net and download it. This will installed USB driver. If already installed skip this) Press Volume down+Menu+Power...Now the phone should be in download mode. Press Volume UP once Open ODIN and make sure COM port is detected your phone. You can check that under ID:COM Click on F.Reset Time & Auto Reboot PDA>Open Firmware file (You may have to extract the zip file of firmware, which you have downloaded from sammobile) Press Start Press Exit New firmware installed and it should boot the device. ------------------------------------------------------------ STEP 2:- Install CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5 Press Volume down+Menu+Power...Now the phone should be in download mode. Press Volume UP once Open ODIN and make sure COM port is detected your phone. You can check that under ID:COM Click on F.Rest Time PDA>Open file CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5 Press Start Press Exit Press Power Button till the time phone is not switching off or Take out the battery CWM Installed now. ------------------------------------------------------------ STEP 3:- Fixing CWM and Rooting Press Power+Volume Up+Menu, Boot in to CWM Recovery (This should boot in CWM if you manually switch off the phone in previous step, else will boot in stock recovery. Then you have to follow STEP 2 again) Flash Fix-Recovery.zip (This is optional if your device installing stock recovery on reboot) Flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.25.zip Reboot Check SuperSU installed or not once booted.
